********************************* Joining Made Simple
The
Grand Aerie Membership Department has created a new tool on our website
to increase membership at local Aeries and Auxiliaries. Non-members who
visit foe.com can now
click on the "Become A Member" tab and fill out a brief form. Once
submitted, the form is sent to the Membership Department where Grand
Aerie staff will contact prospective members to help answer any
questions they have regarding the F.O.E. and help them get in contact
with an Aerie or Auxiliary in their community.
Many have already taken
advantage of this new service and we encourage current members to reach
out to family, friends, neighbors and co-workers with this quick, simple
method in taking the first step toward joining the Eagles.
DRC Matching Campaign Exceeds Goal
Throughout November and
December, donations to The Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research
Center were to be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $55,000 thanks to the
generosity of an anonymous donor.
In that time, Eagles
around the United States and Canada rallied to raise $264,312.72 for the
cause in addition to the $55,000 matched donation for a total of
$319,312.72. This tremendous effort exceeds last year's total of
$166,750.32. Many of you went above and beyond the call of duty to help
exemplify the spirit of "People Helping People." For that, we cannot
thank you enough.

AERIE IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP REPAIR A SECTION OF THE AERIE
ROOF. MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED, WE JUST NEED HELP! SIGN UP AT THE
AERIE. THE SIGN UP SHEET IS ON THE TRUSTEES OFFICE DOOR. THANK YOU!

Kim E's flowers is supporting our charities this year!Kim
E's, located on SR50 in Groveland, is once again supporting our
charities this year by offering a "flower certificate" to members of our
Aerie, as well as to her customers. The
cost will be $75.00 for each certificate. $50 goes to Kim for the cost of the
flowers, and $25 goes to the Aerie/Auxiliary charities this year. She did
not want to choose just 1 charity, so we can apply each month's sales to
the charity of the month, for example August sales goes to Diabetes
fund, September sales goes to Austism,
October to Altzheimer's, etc.

Sun ~ Wed 12:00 ~ 10:00 pm Thurs 12:00 ~ 11:00 pm Fri ~ Sat 12:00 ~ 1:00 am
*If
the Social Hall is relatively slow later in the evening, the Board of
Trustees exercise the authority to close before 2:00am. |
